LLS Man & Woman of the Year Campaign

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure blood cancer and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The Man & Woman of the Year campaign raises awareness of the research, programs and advocacy the LLS provides.

LLS’s work is changing the lives of 1.2 million Americans living with a blood cancer. In fact, the treatments that LLS is funding benefit all cancer patients. More than 40% of the new cancer treatment drugs approved by the FDA since 2005 started as blood cancer drugs and are now being applied in other forms of cancer. This includes stomach, skin, lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers and noncancerous diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, lupus and other autoimmune diseases.
